Entegra is the UK’s largest procurement provider, working closely with businesses to protect their profit.
to a commitment to us working together. This result forms the initial basis of our partnership. Thereafter, we continue to negotiate, maintain and monitor their spend on their behalf and
our operations consultants continue to identify efficiencies. We will always demonstrate our current position against the open market, it’s currently sitting at 12.34% better. We also have a function called ‘best price purchasing’, which also demonstrates opportunities for product switches to make further savings to the client’s discretion. This is available on our procurement software platform which is available to all of our partnered accounts at no cost.
Q What’syourviewontechnologywithin the care sector?
A We know there is wide government support to evolve the care sector into the world of technology and there has been much information documented in the media on how this is supported. What we know is, the care and healthcare sector is set to double by 2030. Transitioning into technology systems may seem a daunting undertaking, but the long- term results will certainly bring time saving and efficiencies into operations. We have partnered with the award-winning Kafoodle, who bring many solutions directly into the care sector and are certainly innovators in the field in regard to procurement software and nutrition planning as well as having our own fully supported procurement and data software platform.
Q Whatwouldyousaytobusinesseswho prefer supermarket shopping?
A We actually see many businesses using supermarkets for their food, beverage and chemical shopping. My few observations would be, who is doing that supermarket shopping and is that cost impacting your labour line? Is that the best use of that persons time and skill set? How can you ensure food safety? All of
our supply partners are fully BRC accredited and will be able to supply track and trace and temperature control in transit. If there were
an outbreak of food poisoning, how would you mitigate and manage that? Also, supermarket products are manufactured for domestic use.
If you are, for example, buying a bottle of toilet cleaner at the supermarket, you will be paying a premium for a household package size.
Q Howcanabusinessengageyouinan initial analysis?
A Please just reach out to me at jaclyn.evans@entegraps.uk, we would be delighted to have a conversation.
We are a team of 150 specialists operating across Europe who work in partnership with 800+ businesses and 200 suppliers in the
UK. We negotiate on behalf of our clients to find them the best possible proposals and solutions available to them and within their own objectives. Our team is made up of ex-operators, chefs, analysts and buyers.
Q What can you bring to our procurement operations that we can’t achieve alone?
A To be really great at achieving procurement results, three things are needed. The first is a large amount of spend with which to negotiate, we currently manage £710 million of spend in the UK and Entegra Global manages a total of €23.9 billion, which also allows us
to tap direct into manufacturer deals as well
as being able to negotiate the best price files available in the market.
The second is market intelligence and foresight, of which we have in spades. We invest in subscribing to market intelligence as well as having our finger to the pulse with
all of our current supply partners. We share this knowledge with our partnered clients in regular market reporting so they can mitigate upcoming pitfalls or specific product volatility.
We also have much experience. Our buyers are decorated with degrees and masters in procurement and supply chain, so they are dedicated and concentrated within this field, coupled with our business having operated for 30 years and the experiences that brings. We don’t charge a fee but agree a percentage of identified savings as our operating rebate with our clients, so that extra resource comes at no cost. It also affords our partnered businesses the most qualified and best placed people.
I think of it as having the right people in the rights seats; aces in places.
Q We have had a tumultuous few years, how do you maintain competitive pricing in the face of uncertainty?
A When we first start working with any business, we will carry out an analysis on their current purchasing performance prior
